Help

I would love to add a playlist to my blog but have no idea, can someone help me?

  1. Hi Tricia, thank you for visiting my blog. Isn't it strange to find comfort in the company of others who've lost children? I wish no-one else had experienced this, yet it is nice to talk with people who understand what it's like.

Your daughter Jaci is a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry for your loss, and for the second accident just a few months later.

I put the playlist on my blog by going to www.playlist.com and creating an account. Once you select the songs you want (it doesn't have everything, which can be frustrating) and add them to your list, you should see a link under the playlist that says "Get Playlist Code." Click that, then select link for option E "Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website >>."

Next, it will ask you to select which playlist you want to put on your blog (you can have more than one), so click the list you created.

Now it wants you to select how you want the playlist to look. I recommend selecting "No" for "Autostart" -- it's considered bad blog manners. :) Pick the color you want, then click the green "Get Code" button.

You'll see a box full of code. Make sure you select all of it, copy (control-C), then log into Blogger. Go to the "Layout" tab and click the link "Add a Gadget." A smaller window will pop up.

Click the plus sign next to the third option down, HTML/Javascript (don't be alarmed -- this is easy!). A simple window will appear. Type "Playlist" into the title box, then put your cursor in the Content box and paste the code you copied from Playlist (control-V).

Click the orange save button. You should see the gadget, titled "Playlist" appear on your layout screen! Make sure you click the orange "Save" button on the Layout screen too when you're happy with where the playlist appears.

    I hope this helps!
